Core Skills Training Program

Our Core Skills training has been trialled and tested over a period of 7 years to be refined and developed into its current profile. This program is a targeted and focused approach to teaching New Graduate OT’s the essential clinical skills to become a high-performing Paeditiric OT. It sets the foundation upon which to build your future career and will allow you to develop confidence, provide quality care and deal with complex clients. Covering all the essential clinical skills needed to excel and thrive in Paediatric OT, you will gain a solid understanding of Parent Communication, Motor Development, Sensory Processing, Emotional Regulation, Visual Perception, Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment and treatment, Self-care intervention and many more.

Personal and Professional Development Series

Based on over 20 years of supervising and training therapy staff, this program has taken all the common challenges and pitfalls faced by clinicians and specifically trains you to manage and avoid them. Without the personal skills necessary the early years of an OT career can be a time of low confidence, high stress, and lead to poor performance, burnout, staff turnover, and sadly good clinicians are unfortunately lost to other careers. Even if clinicians stay in the OT field, these symptoms can persist throughout their careers. From thousands of hours of training 10+1 short lessons have been developed to give OTs a more confident, more productive start to their role as therapists, and habits that will stay with them for their careers.

Clinical Supervision/Mentoring

This is feedback and guidance on the day-to-day running of your client caseload. From planning assessments, treatment sessions, and handling challenging behaviours, through to your documentation and reporting, treatment extension ideas and workflow processes. This is on-the-job training tailored specifically to you.
